Paul Michael Ash: Reviews

We were so happy to have you as guest at Cherry Ghost.  We enjoyed your company and Paul’s performance.  It was wonderful.   We thought the songs were very well written, arranged and performed with tremendous feeling and flare.   It far exceeded our expectations for the evening.   We had many favorites although the a cappella song was captivating.

Wearing his signature aviator glasses and a beret, the newsman, bluesman and balladeer did a terrific set long on his wicked sense of the absurd.

"It's a real joy to set a spell and swap a few stories with this top-notch artist"
Steve Scott - Hootenanny Holler

....we had RAVE reviews about Paul and his performance. As always, it is wonderful to see and hear his new songs, and our old favorites.

"We really liked having Paul here for the Talkeetna Moose Dropping Festival, the live interview on KTNA's Musical Tributaries was an unexpected bonus."

. . . . . I love the lyrical styling of Paul Michael Ash ... but, alas, I live far far away now. Do you have any gigs coming up in NY?

Jennifer Knies Fallis - Suffolk County, NY

"His lyrical style would most likely be labeled American folk. Paul’s songs tell a story, reminiscent of 13th century troubadours who would entertain and inform with their music. Songs ranging from “Daddy Was a Sailor”, to “Common Working Man”, written on an envelope in a farm field during a break, to “Miriam’s Waltz”, a tribute to his wife, composed shortly after learning to waltz — written while she was brushing her teeth! — show a strong commitment and connection to this land and people.
